Since 2003 we have been offering Yoga, Massage & other eastern physical arts in the South Simcoe area.  Based on the principle of Balance, we offer a variety of classes to suit all members of our community.  We strive to include ourselves in the community through our Annual Winter Solstice party and Silent Auction.  As well, our members and teachers involve themselves in the many social and political events that effect our local community and the world.

As is the practice with most yoga classes we ask to you respect the following policies:

Orientation

To ensure you have a pleasant, rewarding experience, we ask you to please observe the following guidelines when attending classes.

• Allow yourself some time to sign-in and get ready for class. Arrive 5-10 minutes early.

• Wear comfortable, lightweight clothing that is flexible and non-binding, such as athletic or yoga wear. A war, outer layer over a lighter inner layer is helpful.

• Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach. Wait about three hours after a large meal, one or two hours after a light snack.

• Inform the teacher prior to class if you have any serious health conditions such as neck, back, or joint injuries, recent surgery, high blood pressure, pregnancy, etc.

• For the comfort of others, please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne.

• Please turn off cell phones and pagers before entering the class.

• Bring a yoga mat. If you do not have one we have mats to lend and for sale. We recommend that you buy your own mat as it is most hygienic and can be used for home practice.

• Don’t force yourself into any of the postures. Listen to your body.

• Practicing two times a week is the minimum if you want to see progress. More is better.

• Be consistent. Don’t judge yourself. Have patience. Have fun.
